Franklin is the host of the longest-running talk show in television history.
The Joe Franklin Show
aired first on ABC from New York and then on superstation WOR.
(You may remember Billy Crystal's impression of Joe, which he did on a
regular basis when he was a cast member of Saturday
Night Live.) I appeared as a
guest on The Joe Franklin Show when I was operating a comedy club at the Claridge Casino in
Atlantic City. |
